ระหว่างวันที่ 12 กันยายน - 3 ตุลาคม 2557 สถานกงสุลใหญ่ ณ เมืองดูไบ ได้ดำเนินโครงการเสริมสร้างทัศนคติเพื่อการพัฒนาศักยภาพนักศึกษาไทยมุสลิมจากจังหวัดชายแดนใต้ โดยได้นำคณะนักศึกษาจากมหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์ วิทยาเขตปัตตานี จำนวนทั้งสิ้น 8 คน เข้าร่วมการสัมมนาแลกเปลี่ยนความคิดเห็น ณ Iqra'a Arabic Language and Culture Institute โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์หลักเพื่อการส่งเสริมศักยภาพและการเปิดโลกทัศน์ของเยาวชน ผ่านกลไกพหุวัฒนธรรม ตลอดจนเปิดโอกาสให้นักศึกษาได้เรียนรู้วัฒนธรรม ภาษา และวิถีชีวิตความเป็นอยู่ของประเทศมุสลิมสายกลางที่มีความเจริญก้าวหน้า และมีการผสมผสานวัฒนธรรมอาหรับและนานาชาติอย่างลงตัว
นอกจากนี้ คณะนักศึกษายังได้เยี่ยมชมสถานที่สำคัญต่าง ๆ ในดูไบ อาทิ Jumeirah Mosque, ตลาดท้องถิ่น ตลาดทอง ตลาดปลา พิพิธภัณฑ์ท้องถิ่นดูไบ เขตเมืองเก่า และ Burj Khalifa ตึกที่สูงที่สุดในโลก เพื่อให้คณะนักศึกษาได้สัมผัสถึงความกลมกลืนของการพัฒนาด้านเศรษฐกิจ เทคโนโลยี และวัฒนธรรมดั้งเดิมในดูไบอีกด้วย

During 12 September - 3 October 2014, the Royal Thai Consulate-General, Dubai, organized a 3 weeks cultural exchange programme for a group of 8 students from the Prince of Songkla University, Pattani Campus, with the aim to promote education and culture in a moderate Muslim society for Thai Muslim students from the Southern Provinces of Thailand. The Thai students included Mr. Abdulloh Waesamoh, Mr. Mahmood Salaeh, Mr. Sawawee Cheputeh, Mr. Ilyas Binhayeesama-Ae, Miss Nurhayatee Baso, Miss Hiyab Benhawan, Miss Nurhuda Adae and Miss Aswanee Sa-U, participated in the short cultural exchange programme, which was conducted at the Iqra'a Arabic Language and Culture Institute.

A part from their daily cultural discussion on various topics including the architectural structures in the Muslim World, the differences in society and culture of Thailand and the UAE, etc, the students were also encouraged to tour the city and take part in the popular cultural activities such as visiting the Burj Khalifa, Desert Safari, Bastakiya and the Gold Souk.
The 3 weeks cultural exchange programme aimed to give the Thai Muslim students from the Southern Provinces of Thailand the opportunity to experience the way of life in a multicultural and moderate Muslim society.
